At Minerva Medical Aesthetics we specialize in performing injectable non-surgical cosmetic treatments with Botox® and dermal fillers. Our approach is very much "less is more" and we aim to achieve a natural look for our patients without looking "false" in any way. We review our patients two weeks after the first treatment to assess the the results, at this stage additional treatment can be given if required.
With simple unobtrusive procedures Botox® has been in use for decades to dramatically soften and even remove facial lines. There is very little "downtime" from the procedure and many of our patients have treatments during their lunch-break. Wrinkle relaxing treatments work only on the muscles injected leaving the surrounding muscles to function as usual. Botox® is injected, using a fine needled, disposable syringe. The Botox® then blocks the muscle that causes the wrinkle to form. Because a very fine needle is used any discomfort is mild. At Minerva Medical Aesthetics we only use the original Botox® by Allergan rather than any alternatives.

Many of the visible signs of ageing can be improved using the appropriate placement of dermal fillers. We have chosen only the highest quality dermal fillers to use at Minerva Medical Aesthetics. These are temporary "resorbable" products made from hyaluronic acid (HA). They are injectable products designed to restore the lost volume that occurs in ageing. They are incredibly diverse and can be used to enhance the cheeks, correct hollow tear troughs (lines under the eyes) and improve the jaw line. Lighter dermal fillers can be used to improve skin quality on the face and hands.
Before your treatment you will have a thorough medical consultation where any medical issues are discussed and the procedure explained, photographic assessment is also carried out. The dermal filler is placed either with a needle or very thin plastic tube called a cannula. An anaesthetic cream or injection can be used to further reduce any discomfort. Most patients find that any discomfort is minimal.
Prices start at £180:00 for a 0.5ml syringe.

Medical Grade Skincare with ZO®
Prescription based skincare is the most effective way to rejuvenate all skin types. Here at Minerva Medical we use the ZO® range.
Skin care bought over the counter or online are classified as cosmetics just like make-up. These products are not permitted to alter the biochemistry of the skin and have limited concentrations of any active ingredients. This is true for all over-the-counter products, even the very expensive ones. As a result they have no effect on the skin below the very top layer (the epidermis). In contrast medically prescribed skin care products have increased concentrations of active ingredients and so influence the skin at a cellular level to stimulate the cells that produce collagen and other proteins that improve skin appearance.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a non-invasive skin treatment that can be used to lighten or eliminate scars, sun spots, rosacea and other irregular pigmentation. The technology uses a high-powered, computer controlled hand-piece to deliver a pulse of light to the blemishes which are then heated to destruction and reabsorbed by the body.
